ABOUT US

Meet Ivonne Hanks

Ivonne Hanks is the heart and soul behind Musa Boricua, whose journey is deeply rooted in a legacy of service and a profound connection to the land. From a young age, Ivonne’s innate sense of ‘knowing’ guided her toward a purpose-driven life dedicated to serving others. With a background in public health and civic engagement within the Health and Human Services field, she has spent years helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. Through her philanthropy project, Adopt a Farmer, Ivonne makes these collaborative connections possible.

Ivonne’s commitment to creating a more compassionate world took on a special significance fueled by her familial ties—her paternal grandfather, a farmer from the mountains in Puerto Rico. This connection to the land inspired her to establish Musa Boricua, a platform that transcends borders, connecting the American people, American farmers, and Puerto Rican farmers and communities. Through this unique collaboration, Ivonne honors her grandfather’s legacy by fostering unity and facilitating a harmonious exchange of resources, creating a positive impact on lives.

In addition to her philanthropic work with Musa Boricua, Ivonne is an Integrative health and transformational coach, offering a lifestyle-based approach to guide individuals toward wellness where mind, body, and spirit align in living a purpose-driven life of significance. An author, international speaker, and mindfulness advocate, Ivonne’s influence extends globally. Through her Health Is You practice and as the founder of Worldwide Culture-Link, she continues to inspire transformative and mindful leadership, making a lasting impact on communities worldwide.

RECENT TESTIMONIAL

One of our treasured success stories is Stephanie Rodriguez. She is our first female farmer ‘adoptee,’ a public-school agricultural education teacher during the day and a farmer by evening, she forged an alliance with us to infuse energy into our project and promote collaboration between farmers and their community.

She believes in sustainable farming and supporting the farming community and the families and larger community around them. Musa Boricua has used donations together with Stephanie to adopt local families who have been given boxes of fresh produce that Stephanie has grown and harvested on her farm.

“Our goal is to foster enthusiasm for farming the land, healthy living, and supporting the local economy.” ~ Stephanie Rodriguez

“Our purpose is to live every moment, to experience life, and to leave the world around us better than it was when we started.” ~ Ivonne Hanks, founder of Musa Boricua.
